The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the launch
of a new commission by Vuk Cosic, http://www.thisistherealmatrix.com as
part of its pre-opening programme B4B.
The website - an ASCII version of the original Warner Brother's site -
was created in conjunction with the screening of The Matrix at Tyneside
Cinema in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England on January 30th, 2001. The
commission is part of 'A History of the Future' - a series of science
fiction films, exhibitions and events throughout the region.
Additionally, a computer to access the website and a direct telephonic
link to Vuk Cosic are available at the BALTIC offices, housed in St.
Mary's Church, The Gateshead Quays Visitors Centre. For more information
about 'A History of the Future' please visit the website of our partner
organization, Northern Architecture at www.north.org.uk/future
