November 2 & 3, 2000
SRI (Stanford Research Institute) International
333 Ravenswood Avenue
Menlo Park, CA 94025
The Kitchen is pleased to announce the fourth and final of its national
conferences funded by a major grant from the Ford Foundation, exploring
issues at the intersection of art and technology. Jointly organized with
GroundZero (the Art and Technology Network of Silicon Valley), ".art
frontiers: partners in art and industry" is a two-day conference that
will focus on past, present and future partnerships between contemporary
artists and new technology industries.
Scheduled for November 2 & 3, 2000, ".art frontiers" moves beyond the
context of art institutions as in the three preceding conferences by
taking place in the heart of Silicon Valley, the pre-eminent North-
American region for new technology innovation. Bringing together
technology leaders and artistic inventors, this symposium will ask how
technology companies are integrating art, culture, and creativity into
their long-range planning and how artists are interfacing with new
technology industries in the making of new art.
