NOISEGATE TALKS--June 13 at The Anchorage

Helllooo Rhizomers!

Please join me on Tuesday, June 13 from 7-11pm at the The Anchorage for
NOISEGATE TALKS: an evening with Granular Synthesis, an Austro-Germanic
duo who make amazing sound/video installations using micro-fragments of
digitized video. NOISEGATE is their latest project.

If you're not familiar with Granular Synthesis, you can check out their
work online at http://www.thing.at/granular-synthesis. Tom Sherman calls
NOISEGATE "a timeless space for reflection, for associations made within
the surrounding pressure of an unrecognizable, unfathomable drone."
Miltos Mantetas would call it "neen" (see http://www.name4art.com).

For this event, we've invited Mark Dery (author of *Escape Velocity* and
now Editor of Artbyte Magazine) to interview the Granular Synthesis
artists. Cocktails and refreshments will be served, and you'll get a
chance to experience the installation before and after the discussion.

NOISEGATE TALKS is presented by Creative Time, Rhizome.org and Altoids.

Bridge on Cadman Plaza West at the intersection of Hicks and Old Front
