RAZORFISH RELAUNCHES TWO ARTISTS' SITES ON "THE BLUE DOT"
New York City, August 1, 1997 - Razorfish announced today the relaunch
and redesign of two titles, "Love Letters from a World of Awe" and James
Worrell, "Objects of Desire", featured on Razorfish's
critically-acclaimed "The Blue Dot" site, found at
http://www.thebluedot.com.
"Love Letters from a World of Awe" is a multi-disciplinary project,
featuring the work of cross-medium artist, Yael Kanarek. The site
lushly integrates her painting, writing, and sculpture with Web design
and soundscape. The update coincides with the artist's performance of
"Love Letters from a World of Awe" on Friday, August 8. For more
information about the event, visit http://www.worldofawe.com or call
HERE Theatre at 212-647-0202.
"Objects of Desire", located at http://www.thebluedot.com/worrell,
features the artwork and commercial photography of New York-based
artist, James Worrell. The new Worrell exhibition includes his most
contemporary work, showcasing his intimate photographs, photo
illustrations, and experimental movies.
"We constantly re-examine the content on The Blue Dot and are firmly
committed to maintaining this site for the ongoing exploration of the
interactive digital arts," said Craig M. Kanarick, Razorfish Chairman
and Curator of The Blue Dot. "As each artist grows, so too does their
area of the site. We look forward to continuing to pursue these
possibilities with each artist."
"The Blue Dot", a collection of art, literature, humor, photography, and
phlogiston, is one of six titles housed on the award-winning site RSUB,
The Razorfish Subnetwork.
