Invitation for writers and artists

Game Theory

Australia-based Experimenta Media Arts is seeking writers, curatorial
proposals, and artists for 'Game Theory'. This event, which will take
place in Melbourne, Australia in April 1998, will explore the use of
games models, structures and theories in the production of interactive
art works. Three exhibition have been confirmed: 'Tilt' (coordinator
John Bleaney) will present artist-modified pinball machines, 'Slot'
(curated by Chris Gregory) is a survey of video games since the
mid-70's, and 'Game Play' (curated by Shiralee Saul) will present games
made by artists and art made using games models. Curatorial proposals
and artist's applications welcomed until August 1997. 'Game Theory' will
be accompanied by a special edition of MESH film/video/multimedia/art
Journal (on-line as eMESH @ http://www.peg.apc.org/~experimenta);
writers are invited to contact Experimenta with proposals for articles.
