Here's food for thought worth seeing.
An excellent Boston area video artist, Roberto Arevalo, does award
winning raw video with urban youth. The work has been shown
internationally and nationally. This is powerful video, because it
hasn't been polished for the commercial or liberal market. It's shot by
teens who are presenting provocative topics from their real world. I
found their perspective to be an interesting twist on urban youth
stereotypes.
His kids' vid is showing now through the beginning of next week (May 16
- 27) in Manhattan, at the Whitney Museum Independent (Works?) 384
Broadway, 4th floor [New York City].
