- VIRTUAL AFRICA PROJECT…. A planning team is getting together to
design a project with the tentative title "Virtual Africa". The project
would involve both on-line and physical exhibits and project components
and will seek to put together "scenarios" that build bridges between
contemporary and ancient cultures, between the arts and sciences in the
African continent, and bridges between Africa and other Continents. We
are particularly seeking to make contact with work currently under way
in Africa and with contacts available in Africa though on-line links.
The organisations involved will include African arts and music groups,
museums in a number of African countries, art groups and museums in
Europe and ISAST/Leonardo. Interested persons or organisations should
contact Roger Malina via mason@mitpress.mit.edu
