WIGGLISM

*To Nurture That Which Wiggles*
*For That Which Wiggles Is Amazing*

To loop into vital coilings, this coiling, our coiling.
To induce the fibrillations of a vague biological embrace.
To nurture that which wiggles
of flesh or steel, sinew or circuit, mud or imagination.

To extend every nerve and wire into an ecology
of twitches and presences.
To sprout tendrils into organs beyond our immediate sphere.
To soak every thought in a spray of fibrous feedback.
To correlate sensations, screams, and structures.
To infuse phantoms and facts with equal measures
of visceral significance.
To writhe, awestruck and blind,
among the rivulets and bifurcations of living knowledge.
To transmute art, science, and the very madness of being,
into a zoology of spirit.

To dissolve every bloodless artifact, technology,
and module of consumption, into the acids of living ritual.
To swallow creator, medium, and audience into a quivering conflux.
To fold into the fabulous womb, the howling node,
the radical center of mutual incubation.
To melt into the monstrous ecstasy of that which seems to be alive,
that which wiggles.

To nurture the universal wiggling,
THE SUPERANIMAL
which seems, and only seems,
to thrive somewhere between us.

RESPONSES TO WIGGLISM BETA TEST 1:

…I enjoyed sharing your Wigglism Beta Test with my (85 year old)
friend Jake. He said your ideas reminded him of Ilya Prigogine's work
on the theory of dissipative structures.

This sparked a lively discussion about self-catalyzing processes,
quantum leaps, spiral energy cycles, our passion for discovering and
creating new modes of self-expression, and the purpose of life. A very
fun morning indeed…

…My take on Wigglism (does that mean we are wigglismists?) is that it
reminds me very much of what our aborigineal kin down under refer to as
dreaming.

…waking up, I discovered numerous tiny sparks

moving purposefully through the fecund mud…
All good things to you, excellent friend.

Beautiful words for something many of us *feel,* my friend. The wiggle is
the next evolutionary step. Wiggling like early life-forms from the water
onto the ground, wiggling like cells *converging*!!!!
very cool. -D

…So consider digital sampling and information theory and Shannon's
theorems and Nyquist's theorem about the maximum bandwidth or
information content of a sampled information channel, etc., and consider
that we want to sqeeze as much of your "universal wiggling" as we can,
into the available digital bandwidth.

…Thus for audio, on CD's at 44.1 kiloHertz sampling rate, Nyquist's
theorem says that the highest frewuency (pitch) we can reproduce is HALF
the sampling rate, or 22.05 kilohertz…when you take some random kind
of goo and sample it into a digital file (audio, graphic, or video), and
then analyze it with various transforms like Fourier or wavelets, you
can fiddle around so you get the maximum possible resolution "around the
edges." It seems that the "edges" are very very important for your
"wigglism" to achieve maximum wiggle-hood :-)
