channelUntitled
by
Diane Bertolo
We speak through our technologies and our technologies speak through us.
Tapped-out messages from the realm of the dead appeared precisely at the
time of the invention of the Morse alphabet in 1837. Since then, we have
witnessed an abundance of voices and codes transmitted through our ever-
expanding environment of communication technologies.
"channelUntitled" tunes into the spectres that haunt technology and
provides a channel to air their messages.
Who are these beings that dwell here? Spirits of the dead? The strained
voices of technology-induced mass hysteria? A confusion of noise and
frequency? An operating system run amok? Perhaps you'll find yourself
among the disembodied at "channelUntitled."

lines of travel
by
John Hudak
John Hudak prefers to create works of brevity, which well describes
"lines of travel," his second short piece for the Turbulence site.
Juxtaposing images and sounds, he takes the viewer to a place where
something comes from nothing in the time it takes to think. Enjoy your
visit. Macromedia Flash4 plugin required.
