I just returned from speaking at net_condition at ZKM Karlsruhe
[http://www.zkm.de] this week, and although having only seen the ZKM
venue for the exhibition, I am now convinced that this is without
question one of the most significant showings of this genre to date. The
most striking aspect of net_condition is that the curatorial staff of
the ZKM executed a deep interpretation of the subject in not limiting
the installations merely to Internet.art per se. This added a welcome
architectonic in that there was an emphasis in the larger genre of art
and distributed networks.
