Madame Polly Game Patch

This project takes as it's point of departure the recently emerged
computer game genre of "1st person shooter/adventure with female
heroine." The project makes use of subversive art tactics to infiltrate
the predominately male domain of computer gaming culture and deconstruct
varied gender/subject configuration within this realm. Info bytes
embedded in computer terminals within the game provide keys to Madame
Polly's polymorphous identity. The computer game plug-in or patch offers
the means for the "culture hacker" as artist to create a game which
functions simultaneously as legitimate game, feminist parody and art. At
the Madame Polly Website, the patch (which plugs into the Marathon game
engine) is available for download.
