Jacks in Slow Motion--BOOK/CD-ROM RELEASE

BOOK/CD-ROM RELEASE
JACKS IN SLOW MOTION
BY KIKO GOIFMAN

Jacks in slow motion is a work based on the relationships between
anthropology and art. The book deals with the time lived inside prisons.
The CD-ROM (which comes with the book) proposes unusual ways of
navigating through artistic experiences about the prison. Jacks in Slow
Motion seeks for complementation among texts, sounds and images by
approaching time in a context of violence, religiousness, conflict,
promiscuity and death.

Several imagetic essays and texts are included in the CD-ROM, that also
brings a complete version of the video Tereza, directed by Kiko Goifman
and Caco P. de Souza. The CD-ROM includes works of artists that deal
with prison life (and related topics), such as Lucas Bambozzi, Nuno
Ramos, Ros'ngela Renn
