um 19 Uhr statt. Abgerundet wird das diesjaehrige=20
Programm durch das Sonderprojekt SPLICE IN, das=20
die aktuelle Situation in Afghanistan, seinen=20
Nachbarlaendern und Europa anhand der=20
Themenfelder Gender und Politik beleuchtet, die=20
interdisziplinaere Fachtagung interfiction sowie=20
das audiovisuelle Live-Programm in der DokfestLounge.

Um die drei mit insgesamt 10.000 Euro dotierten=20
Geldpreise und das A38-Produktions-Stipendium=20
konkurrieren 67 Arbeiten aus unserem Festivalprogramm.

Dokumentarfilm- und Videofest ist in den Kinos=20

The extensive program of this year=92s 24th Kassel=20
Documentary Film and Video Festival (November 13=20
to 18, 2007) is online available:
www.filmladen.de/dokfest

235 current films and videos from 29 countries=20
will be screened within six festival days; among=20
them one third are premieres. About 150 directors=20
and artists are expected to attend the festival=20
for the presentation and discussion of their=20
works. The exhibition MONITORING presents 16=20
media installations from 7 countries. The=20
vernissage takes place on November 14 at 7 pm.=20
This year=92s program is completed by the special=20
project SPLICE IN, exploring the current=20
situation in Afghanistan, its neighboring=20
countries and Europe by means of the subject=20
areas gender and politics, the audiovisual live=20
program in the DokfestLounge as well as the=20
interdisciplinary conference interfiction.

Altogether 67 contributions out of the program=20
will compete for the three prizes endowed with=20
10,000 Euro in prize money and the A38=96Production Grant Kassel-Halle.
