DIGITAL MEDIA FESTIVAL is one of the core projects of DIGITAL LONG ISLAND, an event launched by Digital Media Pioneer, LAURENCE GARTEL, in association with the SMITHTOWN TOWNSHIP ARTS COUNCIL and the SUFFOLK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. This event offers new media artists an opportunity to exhibit all forms of art produced with the aid of cutting edge technology including new media such as phone cameras. All qualifying artists interested in this medium are invited to visit DIGITAL LONG ISLAND's website at www.stacarts.org/digital for details and are welcome to submit artwork following the submission guidelines specified in the online prospectus. The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2007.
