[ in situ ] art | body | medicine

In collaboration with the 10th annual Subtle Technologies Festival,
Year Zero One co-presents three events in response to their 2007
Festival theme [ in situ ] art | body | medicine. This year the focus
will be on emerging possibilities for artistic engagement as the
biological becomes a medium.

Engage in debates about the blurred line where organic meets digital
and biology becomes art in our Online Discussion with internationally
known artist/curator/writer, Nina Czegledy.

Whose Body is it Anyway? is an exhibition co-presented by Year Zero
One, InterAccess Electronic Media Arts Centre and Subtle
Technologies. The show explores how the rapid development of medical
technology fuels a growing economic divide where fresh body parts can
be purchased straight from the living bodies of the poor and bodies
considered “deviant” can be surgically “corrected=
”.
