The Floating Clinic - video by GOOD Magazine

Natalie Jeremijenko’s body of work exists somewhere in the ideological netherworld between the dystopian vision of people glued to computers while the world while the world rots around them and the utopian vision of technology as a panacea.

Since February Jeremijenko has been working at NYU’s Environmental Health Clinic, where she and her trained assistants address the environmental anxieties of its visitors. GOOD caught her on a day she decided to take the Clinic afloat, meeting with visitors on a raft on the East River. We made a video of this highly unusual approach to mentoring, and here it is on our site:
