What can be expected?
2007 will be in first place a year of he revivals and relaunches.
JavaMuseum - Forum for Internet Technology in Contemporary Art - www.javamuseum.org
will launch during 2007 several new show cases while its reconstruction will take some time yet,
so that the complete relaunch can be expected in September 2007.
In January 2007, JavaMuseum published a new call starting the 2nd phase of JavaMuseum,
entitled "a+b = ba? (art + blog = blogart?)

Also in January, Cinematheque - the platform for streaming project environments
at the MediaCentre of Le Musee di-visioniste are relaunched - http://cinema.nmartproject.net
Cinematheque published an open call for a new streaming video project in the beginning of January, entitked
"Slowtime 2007? - Quicktime as an artistic medium"
(see also section "calls" further aheadand

Later in 2007, AgricolaTV http://tv.agricola-de-cologne.de will be relaunched.
Not only documentations of previous events will be featured, but also video news,
comments and reviews on recent events and projects taking place in the framework of "The Network".

Further VideoChannel - http://videochannel.org will already soon an open call for the next edition of
CologneOFF - Cologne Online Film Festival - http://coff.newmediafest.org
will launch its third edition in October 2007.

Media/Art/Cologne - www. mediaartcologne.org will continue organising new physical events for the media art exhibition
://selfportrait - a show for Bethlehem - a show for Peace.
The first venue in 2007 will be MACRO - Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Rosario/Argentina to be inaugurated on 9 February 2007.

Spontaneously planned additional projects are always possible during the year and are announced in time.

It is late, but not too late to wish all friends and visitors

2. In Memoriam Alla Girik (Kazakhstan)

As it was known only in January, already in November 2006
Alla Girik, a multi-media artist from Rudnik (Kazakstan)
passed away much too young due to an heart desease.

Alla Girik worked on new forms of representations in film and video,
and digital art in general. She participated with a collaborative
multi-media work ( "Warning: Women) together with Oksana Shatalova
in VideoChannel's "Gender Identity" and
