about muX :
muX is a DVD collection of 6 selected abstract visual music works (from 2002 to 2006)created by chiaki watanabe(c.h.i.a.k.i.). The title of this compilation is derived from the digital processing term “multiplexing”: fusing audio and visual data into one. Her live visual works are collaborations with various NY based and international sound artists, ranging from experimental, electronica to avant-classical. Working with color, form- and geometry, she experiments in visual music: the visual representation of experimental music through uniquely abstract and minimalist aesthetics.
