Fwd: Hi New York friends, artists, etc.

Apologies to those of you getting this who don't live in New York…

I just wanted to send a message out to friends, artists, etc., in New
York that I'm helping out with a loft building renovation in Mott Haven
(the same loft building where I was putting on my loft events, on 140th
St — and there will be more events in the near future)… anyway,
we're nearing completion of the renovations, which will be done
sometime in April or so. The building is really nice, extremely solid
floors, 10 foot ceilings, across from a school and next to a library,
in Mott Haven, which is a growing artist neighborhood, near the 6 (and
also pretty close to the 4/5 and 2), just one stop from Manhattan and
20 minutes from Union Square. They're going to be condos, and will be
going up for sale sometime in that time period.

We're interested in trying to get artists, creative people, etc., into
the building — so if you or anyone you know might be interested in
buying in, let me know.

Also, we're trying to find a good broker to handle the sales —
someone, preferably, who is connected with the artist community and is
familiar with selling lofts.

Other amenities to the building: there will be solar panels (!) for
every unit, which should provide most of the electricity needed (though
probably not 100%, more than 50%, most likely). There will be a roof
green area as well. There will be free washer/dryer units in the
basement, along with storage for each unit in the basement. The units
will have hardwood floors (though unfinished) and a kitchen and
bathroom, and will be legal for residential occupation. The units are
mostly 1200 square feet or thereabouts (but again factor in 100 sf or
so of storage space in the basement).
