Unter dem Titel CROSS TALK konstruieren die beiden Kunstlerkollektive
alien productions und Machfeld einerseits eine komplett virtuelle
[Medien] Umgebung, indem ihr Ausgangspunkt die digitale Domane ist, wie
sie in diversen Software-Programmen erzeugt wird [3D-Animationen,
Text-2-Speech-Generatoren u.a.]. Andererseits nehmen sie explizit auf
die Technik- und Mediengeschichte Bezug, da sie die so erzeugten Bilder,
Klange und Texte durch alte Medien erst raumlich erfahrbar machen -
wie zum Beispiel uber einfache Spiegel wahrnehmbare stereoskopische
Projektionen, sprechende Nadeldrucker oder klassische
Beschallungssituationen: als Konstruktion von Realitat aus der
virtuellen Umgebung.

Das aus der Live-Performance generierte Material wird

Entitled CROSS TALK the artists' collectives alien productions and
Machfeld construct on one hand a complete virtual media environment, of
which the starting point is the digital domain as it is produced in a
variety of software programs [3d-animation, text-2-speech generators
etc.]. On the other hand they are explicitly influenced by technique and
media history where the newly produced images sounds and texts are
spatially perceptible through old media like the simple mirrored
effect of stereoscopic projections, the speaking stylus or classical
sound wave effects: as a construction of reality from a virtual
environment.
