Spread the word: Volume 2 is here! All of us at Octopus: Journal of Visual Studies are pleased to announce the publication of our newest issue: The Dark.
In addition to timely works by eminent scholars Dr. Anne Friedberg (University of Southern California), Dr. Peter Krapp (University of California, Irvine), and Dr. Rei Terada (University of California, Irvine), The Dark includes pieces by emerging scholars in the field of Visual Studies. We have also expanded the content of this issue to include poetry, artwork, and book and art reviews.
Please visit www.octopusjournal.org, where you’ll find both the current and archived issues of Octopus, additional information about the journal and our mission, CFP updates, links to featured artists, our mailing list, subscription information, and more. If you know of others who might have an interest in the journal, please pass this link along to them!
Each year we publish a limited edition of printed journals, as well as providing access to articles via our website. If you like what you read and would like to receive our next issue(s) in print, please visit our subscription page to find a card that you may print and return to us.
We believe that Octopus fills an important gap in published scholarship by providing a multidisciplinary space for both established and emerging artists and scholars working in the field of Visual Studies. We hope to continue to be a part of the formation of this exciting and dynamic academic field, and we hope you will enjoy Volume 2: The Dark as much as we do!
Sincerely,
Eva Friedberg & Kelly Kirshtner
