The Present Group is a quarterly art subscription service. Every year TPG subscribers receive four limited edition works from four different contemporary artists. Each work is accompanied by information to help them gain insight into the piece, its creator, and recurring themes in the contemporary art world. In addition, all the information produced for the piece, as well as a digitized version of it will be available free online and open to the public.

The Present Group collaborates with an artist every season to produce an art edition. The results may include printmaking, books, video, photography or conceptual work: anything that does not lose quality by being reproduced.


Our Goals.

The Present Group's goal is to create a new avenue of support for contemporary artists, to create compelling work in a variety of media, to highlight new voices and to be a resource for anyone interested in current art issues.
We are working towards opening a gallery and expanding our artist support from a stipend to a three month residency grant, during which, that season's artist will create his/her work in-house and be available to the public through open studio hours and community classes/discussion groups as well as online documentation.
