NOTHING RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY
Heyward is a multimedia artist working with video, film, monologues & a cappella singing. Tonight she shows an in-progress interactive work dealing with trauma and memory – from local & global perspectives. Heyward’s awards include a Bessie, a Guggenheim and several NEA grants. Her video work has been featured at the Tokyo International Video Biennial, the Mill Valley Film Festival and the Film-X Film Festival. A year before MTV, she premiered her own long-form music video.
