mikroPaliskunta is an expedition that travelled trough Finland from the
northest point Nuorgam to the southest Hanko with a stuffed reindeer and
five artists by biodiesel car. We studied the contemporary image of
Finland from different point of views. How the rapid changes in society
have affected people? What is Finnish? What are the symbols of Finland
and who defines them? We were wondering if a stuffed, dead reindeer
symbolises Finnish culture. Our website is now updated with the material
collected from the travel.
