Willimasburg's hottest new venue is a video artist's wet dream!
Monkey Town <www.monkeytownhq.com> features a 4-channel video system
projecting onto four large screens so that the audience is eveloped
in a video "aquarium."
Video artists and animators are sought to collaborate with "downtown"
performers to create short pieces that will be presented on Thursday
nights in April. The "Fishbowl Cabaret" format allows for the
fullest creative use of Monkey Town's unique facilities by combining
live peformance and video art.

Video artists and animators who have already confirmed their interest
to participate include: Rob Roth, Francis Legge, Larry Shea, Ray
Sweeten and Katja Loher.

april 6 (Thurs) - Launch Party for Cabaret Series (DJ Bill Coleman,
"teaser" performances interspersed throughout the night)
april 13 - 27 (3 consecutive thursdays) - "Fishbowl Cabaret" 2
seatings. 7:30 PM and 10:00 PM
If you're interested in participating, please respond with the
following:
1. brief bio/resume and links to any online information about you and
your work.
2. Please indicate if you have a performance collaborator in mind.
3. Indicate which of the above dates are you available? (please give
your broadest availability) Note: If the video aspect of the work
you develop is all completed ahead of time, you're not required to be
there. Of course we encourage you to come – especially for the
debut of your collaboration.
