prayingproject gives a stage and voice to spirituality as
a form of cultural expression. 
 
Exit Art is exploring spiritual necessity with this project.
Prayer is an action with purpose, an intimate expression that
is beneficial and constructive. Praying is maybe the most
intimate and profound freedom of expression, a personal initiative
with reason and purpose, a way to have a private experience
that can also be collective. Praying is a way to reach our
own divinity, a performance in our lives that we are translating
into a performance of art

We live in a world that is defined by American Pop icons like
MTV, Hollywood, CNN, Disneyland, McDonald's, Coca-Cola and Superman.
What are the views of America beyond the dominant commercial
aesthetic? What are the other faces of our country that we want
to present to the rest of the world? What are the issues and
ideas that concern us? Who and where is the 'Other America'?
What are the stories about life and art in the United States
that reflect other narratives and visions of who we are? How
do we define ourselves outside the American mainstream? Other
America is a multidisciplinary arts exhibition that investigates
views of America beyond the conventional aesthetic. Other
America presents artworks that symbolize the undercurrents
