I'll butt in…

IMO the easiest way is with magpie RSS written in PHP. And I mean
'easy' if you also want flexibility. I had it up and running on my site
in a couple minutes (of course you need PHP on yer server).

It loads, parses, and gives you very simple hooks into it via PHP.
(Francis don't like PHP)

also:

"MagpieRSS is compatible with RSS 0.9 through RSS 1.0. Also parses RSS
1.0's modules, RSS 2.0, and Atom. (with a few exceptions)"

JS on a page to syndicate a feed like so:

Have you seen Meta-CC.net ?

Meta[CC] is an attempt to offset some of the one-sidedness of Mainstream Cable News Networks in the US.
Using keywords generated in real-time from the closed captions off stations like CNN and FOX, Meta[CC] grabs info from independent and foreign RSS feeds, then instantly redisplays the headlines as an extra scrolling ticker on top of the source video.

We are currently looking for a webserver w/ quicktime streaming capabilities and a cable TV connection…please let us know if anyone has any info about finding this. Meta[CC] is a work in progress, we are open to any and all suggestions, and welcome your comments!! ===>>>
