open_digi latino digital night out planned for June 19th http://club.net-art.ws/default.asp#june is having to be postponed because the venue management blew us out yesterday. They have given two reasons.

ONE
the venue manager objected to the flyers and posters being in Spanish. http://club.net-art.ws/images/latino.jpg Apparently they don't have or want any customers who understand even a little bit of spanish, thus ignoring in particular the sizeable Columbian population in the area.

TWO
the venue manager is not happy to allow Mike Slocombe of the Brixton website http://www.urban75.com to appear as a guest of open_digi as planned for July date http://club.net-art.ws/default.asp#july because of criticism and discussion regarding the door policy of the venue and other matters posted on the bulletin boards of Mike's site. This is despite us posting a defence of their door policies etc yesterday to the boards, something they have failed to do for themselves for some unknown reason.

SO
we will revert to Plan A, an alternative non-commercial venue in the Brixton area, the original intended venue of open_digi. Hopefully we can get the necessary space sorted and equipment together so as to finally have our latino digital outing approximately one week after the original date. Quite likely we have a better and more interesting and enjoyable time as a result. Anybody who has time, resources or skills such as cheap as possible projector loan, sound gear, lighting, plumbing etc etc that we will need to prepare this venue please mail
