Snibbe Interactive (www.snibbeinteractive.com) is seeking an Interactive Art Director for immersive interactive media. You will work at Snibbe Interactive’s centrally located new San Francisco location to design physically reactive installations that incorporate computer graphics, gaming, computer vision and web technologies. These installations are installed at sites worldwide including art and science museums and public spaces. Some of our recent installations have taken place at San Francisco’s Exploratorium, the London Institute of Contemporary Arts, The Tokyo Intercommunications Center, Yahoo Corporation and many others. You will have a great deal of individual creative responsibility on interactive projects you develop from concept to final art assets. You will work closely with the engineering team to create and integrate final art into diverse interactive immersive and web-based exhibits. You will also help to design and maintain the Snibbe Interactive website.

Key skills required:
* Confident and quick in independently solving interaction design and visual problems with clever and innovative solutions
* Demonstrated excellent grasp of human-computer interaction with animation, interactive and immersive technologies
* Well-versed with desktop artist’s applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Dreamweaver, page layout software and 3D graphics software (Maya, SketchUp, 3D Studio).
* Demonstrated experience managing a polished website.
* Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to present a confident and compassionate demeanor to clients (museums, exhibit design firms, public institutions, branding, etc.), and be calm and good-natured in the face of deadlines and changes
Responsibilities
* Create concepts, sketches and highly polished complete design proposals in traditional and digital media
* Skillfully illustrate design concepts in hand-drawn, 2D computer illustration and 3D illustrations
* Produce final production artwork and animation assets for interactive exhibits
* Design materials for and maintain a frequently visited website and assure it has consistent design and is free of bugs and broken links
* Work collaboratively with other creative, engineering and business staff
* Meet with clients to brainstorm new projects and to present design proposals
