PERFORMANCE SCULPTS DREAMS

7am Saturday 11th Oct, Bristol, UK.

7 hotair balloons with audio speakers attached took off at dawn to fly ac=
ross the city of Bristol.
Once airborne, different music from each hot air balloon created a vast l=
andscape of sound spanning right across the city; a landscape of surround s=
ound composed for a sleeping Bristol audience below.

Developed in consultation with sleep psychologists the music has been des=
igned to sculpt dreams and to create visionary landscapes within a semi con=
scious public.

"Different balloons carried different sections of the final work and like=
whales calling in the ocean the same sounds were heard in quick succession=
, passing across the sky from one balloon to another."

The first performance by the Balloon Orchestra made national BBC headline=
news. A documentary film is to be produced and the project is hoping to to=
ur.
