Detroit's Museum of New Art (MONA) is about to be evicted from their space in the historic Book Building in downtown Detroit.

MONA is an extremely unusual institution the likes of which is badly needed by both the art community at large and Detroit itself.

A petition has been put together by concerned members of the art community. The purpose is simply a show of support -full page ads will be taken out in Detroit area newspapers to let all know that MONA will not go quietly. The paper version of the petition has already gathered over 100 signatures, an electronic version is online as of today (feb 21st).
