T.I.M.E. - Digital Arts BFA program
The Cleveland Institute of Art’s Technology and Integrated Media Environment (T.I.M.E.) - Digital Arts is a program where students work with a variety of electronic media formats while developing both critical thinking and professional skills. Areas of emphasis include animation, video, game design, and interactive media.
The Cleveland Institute of Art is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time ranked Assistant Professor position with a focus on animation.
Qualifications:
•Strong technical and professional background with various capabilities in digital media in the area of 2d and 3d animation.
•Ability to inform students through methods and processes that communicate research based education, problem solving, team leadership, project development.
•Familiarity with contemporary issues of digital media and animation is greatly desired.
Position requirements:
Desired candidates must hold an MFA or equivalent degree and have a record of professional work with interactive structures and digital media. Additional requirements include experience in project management, information design, and user interface design.
All full-time ranked faculty members are expected to participate in departmental and school-wide committees, curriculum development, advising of undergraduate and graduate students, and assessment of programs.

Position begins August 2008. The department’s review of candidates’ credentials is scheduled to begin January 15, 2008 and will continue until the position is filled.
