Get your pirate radio on, building transmitters to broadcast your voice to nearby tuned radios. We will work with soldering irons and small circuit boards, developing an understanding of analog radio technology and frequency, as well as the use of community-based FM radio in social action. It’s a hands-on class that puts technology in the context of history, power, and the politics of speech. This workshop requires no previous knowledge and everyone leaves with their own FM radio transmitter!
