Brooklyn, NY - February 2015
A.I.R. Gallery is pleased to present Unframed an exhibition of works on paper by Gallery Artists. The exhibition will be on view in Gallery 1, March 5–29, 2015, with an opening reception on DUMBO’s First Thursday, March 5 from 6–9 pm.
We are light on our feet as spring arrives and A.I.R. Gallery prepares to move to a new location in DUMBO. This exhibition features a selection of unframed works on paper that highlights the eclectic mix of visions and diverse uses of materials employed by our Gallery Artists. Unframed showcases works that are ready to move, in motion as the gallery prepares to pack up.
March is Women’s History Month. A.I.R. Gallery celebrates 40 plus years as a groundbreaking and boundary- breaking institution. We look forward to continuing and enhancing an inclusive mission of exhibiting compelling artwork by women at all stages of practice. By supporting emerging, mid-career, and established artists our goal is to enrich and extend the current art discourse in order to guarantee the legacy of women as major contributors to the art of our time and the history of art.
