You are warmly invited to attend the opening of The Brick Lane Gallery’s Winter Art in Mind exhibition – AUTUMN HARVEST. This exhibition features 8 exciting artists from all over the world representing unique and groundbreaking additions to sculpture and painting. They are brought together in an eclectic group show here in East London, to invigorate and push the boundaries of contemporary art.
We look forward to welcoming you to our opening night on Wednesday 6th November 6pm-8.30pm where you are invited to join the artists and gallery for a drink. FEATURED ARTISTS:
Anne Robert grew up in French Brittany near the seaside where she became passionate about remarkable landscapes and discovering new horizons. Travelling from Bali to Guatemala she became inspired by their exotic beauty. Her work is often inspired by their serenity and nature. Through this, she creates a harmony in collage through newspapers or reused materials.
Antonia Spowers is an artist based in Wales and whose work is deeply entrenched by her surroundings; the Black Mountains. She uses paper, perspex, metal and glass to present connection in disconnect of materiality. Through the physical characteristics of her chosen materials explores themes in erosion and the passage of time creating geometric and timeless sculptures.
Caroline Hands is an English artist who's work explores the diverse and richness of cultures with a reflection of the human condition. She is mostly inspired during her travel especially her annual visits to China where she exhibited in the well renowned contemporary art district in Beijing; 798
Portraiture artist, Constantinos Anjulatos depicts his personal experiences through the interaction and observation of reaction and expression. His abstraction and use of muted colour investigate the raw element of human emotion.
Multitalented Niki Loong, writer, autodidact painter, photographer and mother, has had over 12 solo shows since 2005. Niki presents mixed media sketchings as well as beautiful landscapes which reiterate notions of life and happiness through the world around us.
Phyllis Wolff is a impressionist artist who lives and works in Dorset getting most of her inspiration from her garden. She creates beautiful brilliant colours and textures which embody the life and soul of the gardens and ponds the she experiences herself. The vibrance, clever use of colour and painterly quality of her work suggest her maturity as an artist, having spent her life creating art.
Raluca Moisoiu is a law graduate from Romania and works as a public prosecutor. She paints on large-scale canvases using a mixture of techniques and collage to depict momentum and emotion. The bright colors and movement throughout her work suggest the efficacious representation of the inspiration and movement through life. Raluca is also currently exhibiting in Romania and Hungary and has recently opened a solo exhibition entitled “Feel”.
This is Simon Bacon’s first London exhibition, after having graduated from an MA in Sculpture from Colchester School of Art. Simon’s interest in the interconnection between the physical body and the manifestation of emotional, psychological and spiritual content, symbolize the boundary between the inner and outer reality. His work ultimately embodies the elements of the true nature of our ever changing physicality through the manipulation of his clay work which are cast in bronze.
