“0 to 60: The Experience of Time through Contemporary Art”

November 22, 2013 – January 25, 2014
Opening reception: Thursday, November 21, 6 – 8 PM

Highlighting contemporary work that engages with themes such as real time, virtual time, historical time, recorded time, manipulated time, and the passage of time, the artists included in 0 to 60 blur the boundaries between art, craft, and design. Drawing upon elements of engineering, robotics, and computer software, these artists utilize non-traditional media to encourage us to think about our experience of time in new and varied ways.

Co-organized by the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, NC and Penland School of Crafts, Penland, NC. Generous support provided by the Windgate Charitable Foundation and the Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Additional support provided by the Fenwick Foundation, presenting sponsor.
