"Sex, sleaze, drugs, blood, and much, much more!" This is how Mike Kuchar describes his Splatter Movie. Kuchar queers horror movie tropes in this over-the-top, lurid melodrama, set in a dungeon and featuring assorted S/M and mock-Satanic rituals among a cast of good-looking boys and girls. Expect pentagrams, the Number of the Beast, ritual bloodletting, sex acts both ludicrous and depraved, and amputation by chainsaw.

Mike Kuchar, filmmaker, painter and writer, and brother of George Kuchar, was born in New York City. His 1965 camp classic, Sins of the Fleshapoids, remains one of the most influential works of American Underground Film and Kuchar continues to produce short motion pictures in video and digital formats. He has done illustrations for various erotic publications in the US, and his films and illustrations have been exhibited and sold in various galleries internationally, including [2nd floor projects], SF. Mike and George Kuchar were the co-recipients of the Vanguard Director Award at the 11th CineVegas Film Festival, 2009, and the 2009 Frameline Award at the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. Kuchar currently teaches in the film program at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Nowhere caters to both queer boys and girls, drawing an eclectic clientele that recalls the heyday of its East Village locale. Since 2006, this queer dive bar has been attracting a true mix of LGBT bar goers with its low key, welcoming atmosphere. The Village Voice recently named Nowhere the "Best Fabulously Unfabulous Gay Bar," describing it as "straight out of the 19th Century, décor-wise, but with a distinct hint of Twin Peaks-like eccentricity."
