Cock Gobblin' is a mash up of decor, installation and film made especially for The Cock that encapsulates darkroom debauchery. It flaunts the warning signs of "No Sexual Activity Allowed" plastered on the bar's walls. In 2006, invited by Linda Simpson to do decor and performance for SLURP (her then weekly party at The Cock) we created an event titled "Satyricum 1 & 2" that included a wine pissing human fountain, spaghetti wrestling in the basement, orgiastic performances upstairs on the stage and a screening of Fellini's Satyricon. Written up by Michael Musto, uncredited photos of this bacchanal ended up in Slava Mogutin book NYC Go-Go.
Peter Cramer & Jack Waters are Lower East Side denizens since 1981 when, as the performance collective POOL, they were the resident dance company of The Pyramid Club. Partners of 30 years of international collectivist culture & practice as artists, activists, administrators, archivists, teachers and mentors they are known for experimental cross disciplinary multimedia works that encompass non-narrative, documentary and personal history strategies. Their various experiences, in addition to their own multitude of works, include the creation of Allied Productions Inc., a non profit arts umbrella in 1981; serving as directors of ABC No Rio alternative art collective from 1983-1990; and founding Le Petit Versailles (1996) community garden based in New York City.
