A One Man Show is a singular concert video. Released at the height of Jones’ New Wave superstardom, the event is more performance art than concert document. Spanning her disco career through to the Living My Life album, Jones and her paramour / collaborator Jean Paul Goude put a metallic, urban sheen on each song, garbing dancers and musicians in suits that match our performer’s, enshrouding them in masks of her very face, so that dozens of Graces grace the stage. The video includes hits ‘La Vie En Rose,’ ‘Warm Leatherette,’ ‘My Jamaican Guy,’ and ‘Pull Up To The Bumper.’

Jean-Paul Goude lives and works in Paris, France. Working as a photographer, graphic designer, illustrator, and advertising film director since the 1960s, Goude has had a rich and storied career. Best known for his professional and romantic relationship with famous model Grace Jones, his muse of the 70s-80s, Goude has been one of the greatest contemporary imaginations and seminal taste makers for over four decades. He had his international gallery debut of his photographs at the gallery in 2007 at the time of the release of his monograph, “So Far So Goude.”

The Outhouse is the private, rooftop club located in THE OUT NYC, New York’s first gay urban resort. Opening Winter 2012, OUT NYC is a destination for gay travelers and a social epicenter for the local gay community — a place where gay people, their family and friends can experience the best of lodging, nightlife, food, drink and design.
