FAD - the 5th Festival de Arte Digital In a setting where the use of new tools and technologies influence the pursue, the research and the experimentation of new artistic languages, the FAD emerges as a space for exchanges and exhibition of what has been produced in this field by artists in Brazil and around the world. Since 2007, and always taking place in Belo Horizonte, the FAD is a digital media art festival which aims to discover and present to the public the artistic content developed or processed, in whatever of its production stage, by means of computers, softwares, hardwares, cellphones, camcorders, digital cameras, electronic and/or digital devices.
Being so, the festival supports and contributes to the production, implementation and consolidation of digital art in the country. During the whole month of September, selected artists by means of this call will exhibit their works and have the opportunity to establish cultural exchange and dialogues with the public and other participants in the event.
Accomplished by means of the incentive to culture law, the FAD is an independent festival, sponsored through private initiative. All of its activities are open and free of charge. > more
