Louis Corrigan is among the most prominent supporters of the visual arts in Atlanta, and was the most recent winner of the Nexus Award, presented by the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center. Corrigan is the founder and president of the arts organization, Flux Projects. "Flux
Projects is the only organization presenting a year-round public art
program throughout Atlanta. Our goal is to bring innovative, fun, and
thought-provoking projects to the places where Atlantans spend their
daily lives: where they work, travel, and play. We are funding artists
to do more ambitious projects and providing them greater exposure to
the Atlanta community. " –fluxprojects.org
Corrigan is also the founder of the private, non-profit operating platform, Possible Futures. "The
foundation provides grants to individual artists and writers, other
non-profit arts organizations, and other associations or for-profit
entities that write about, present or otherwise support a variety of
artistic endeavors in the Atlanta area. " –possiblefuturesatl.org
In addition to his work with Flux Projects and Possible Futures, Corrigan is also a board member of Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialog.
"Artadia's mission is to encourage innovative artistic practice and
meaningful dialogue across the United States by providing artists in
specific communities with unrestricted awards and a national network of
support." –artadia.org
