This Monday, Contagious Sounds at the Gershwin presents the first show of Tristan Perich's tour of Elevation Maps: a glacially slow, hour-long composition combining long, pure tones from five accordions with cascading electronic frequencies. Originally premiered at the Noguchi Museum, Elevation Maps is a contemplative tapestry of slowly moving layers of sound. Performed by Jim Altieri, Nathan Koci, Franz Nicolay, Maria Sonevytsky and Perich.
