Vic’s Bagel Bar is hosting an opening celebration on December 8, 2010 for its first art exhibition: "People Eating Bagels at a Bagel Store: Drawings by Lila Freeman."

This project began when owner Vic Glazer asked Artist/Librarian Lila Freeman to come to the store and draw customers eating and drinking. The unconventional location—the store where the drawings were done and where the bagels were baked, sold, and consumed—gives the resulting exhibition a uniquely "meta" quality.

This opening event on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 7 pm to 10 pm is free to the public. Drinks will be sold and Mile End smoked meats - a new addition to the Vic’s menu - will be served. A free champagne toast will take place at 8 pm to celebrate owner Vic Glazer’s 27th birthday.
