MIAMI, DECEMBER 2-5 2010: Spectrevision presents an exhibition of necessary research inspired by current events, and the Miami premiere of Jeremy Dean’s horse-drawn Humvee, a contemporized Hoover Cart (and a comment on non-renewable fuels), which will be circling the art fairs of Wynwood and Miami Beach December 2-5. This group show also features artists Jonathon Keats, Oliver Laric, hacker/security consultant Dan Kaminsky, author Howard Bloom ("Lucifer Principle"), holographer Mark Diamond, photographers Cheryl Dunn, Jamel Toppin, Janine Gordon and Stacy Kranitz, City of Miami firefighter/ documentarian Myles Kaplan, curator of 'missed connections' ads Gillian Sneed and more. Additionally there will be informal talks with Jeremy Dean, Julieta Aranda (e-flux), Judi Werthein, Zachary Mexico (author of "China Underground"), Mark Diamond, and others, gleaned from the necessary research that informs their current works.

ONLY IN MIAMI?!?: A show within a show featuring samples from the recently discovered collection of eccentric Chassidic rabbi Aryeh Wuensch, who has been purchasing and hoarding - though never cataloguing - artwork dating from the post war period to the present day. Most of these pieces, including Marc Chagall watercolors, tapestries by Salvador Dali and Max Ernst, Keith Haring drawings and metal sculpture by Beverly Pepper, among others too numerous to mention, have not been publicly shown since their respective openings, if at all.

LOCATION: Lions Gallery, 346 NW 29th Street, Miami, FL 33127

SPECTRE EVENT HORIZON: is an online community news aggregate searching the borderlands of investigative practice. Having long ago abandoned the categorical notion of “genre”, Spectre Group is pleased to include studio artwork juxtaposed interchangeably with experiments and efforts that defy current modes of categorization.

"Hat tip to the amazing folks at Spectre who routinely send me the most interesting things I read."
