The Birth Rites Collection (BRC) is the first and only collection of contemporary artwork dedicated to the subject of childbirth. The collection aims to redefine visual language in contemporary art around the subject of birth, making women the protagonists, with more choice and a greater understanding of the process.

The collection is on show between Salford University Midwifery Department in Greater Manchester and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London.
