“The Being in the electronic shadow”

The Consulate General of Spain in Shanghai and the AECID present a sample of creatives that research and explore in the limits of the technological tools to create discourse and aesthetics.

The exhibition gathers the works of the Spanish artists at the CORE LABS production center [www.corelabs.cn], all of them developers of multimedia research lines who share a well-recognized international career as video artists and video-jockeys.

The exhibition brings together different creative methods that go from digital video and visual mapping to interactive art programming and hardware development for its use in live audiovisual.

“The Being in the electronic shadow” is an introspective vision, result of the reflexion about the resources used by artists that constitute the avant-garde of new digital art.

“The Being in the electronic shadow” is a metareference in which the means justify the end and, as a last resort, they become the end in itself.
