In occasion of Polyphonix 4.0, the festival
organized by Jacqueline Cahen and Jean-Jacques Lebel in agreement with
the Centre Pompidou Director of Cultural Development (Dominicque
Paini), have reserved Room 2 of Georges Pompidou Center for a total of
10 hours and 30 minutes for their video exhibition. The show will
last for three consecutive days: October 3, 4, 5 from 2:30 pm to 18
pm. All the videos shown during these days will be available on
monitors to allow for their broader fruition.

The inaguration of the video section will take place in the Canadian
Cultural Center (5, rue de Costantine - 75007 Paris) on October 1 from
15 pm to 18 pm (from October, 1 to October, 5 and for the entire night
of October, 5 for "La nuit blanche de l'art") thanks to Simone Suchet,
"Responsable des Arts de l'ecrit et de l'ecran".

The organization of the video and multimedia section is directed by
Manuela Corti, with the collaboration of Paola Barbara Sega (History
of Art, University of Bologna), Raphael Cuir (History of Art, Paris),
Enrico Lunghi (Art Director of Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art
contemporain), Daniel Alegi (filmmaker, Italy-US), Madeleine van Doren
(CREDAC - Paris), Chris Kennedy (Vtape, Toronto).

The video exhibition will focus on irony, territoriality, amazement.
Every day will be divided in four parts: one for video art, one for
video animation, one for shorts and one for film and documentaries.

All critical essays, the full press release in various languages,
artists' curricula and video synopsis will be published on Polyphonix
web site (http://www.polyphonix.org/) starting from September.
