The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer role in Media Design focuses on delivering high quality teaching, research, and service in the area of 3D Animation. Applicants should have significant experience in industry-relevant design research and practice, with expertise in the following areas:
•screen-based 3D media development
•3D production, including modelling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, as well as in generating, manipulating, rendering and animating form and space
•industry-standard 3D modelling, animating and rendering software and production platforms: including, but not limited to, Autodesk Maya and Houdini.
Candidates should be able to critically address a wide range of design issues and theories relating to current concepts in digital media design practice. Candidates with a Masters or PhD qualification in a relevant field and an established research platform will be given preference for the position.
