The Body: A Celebration| Juried exhibition

Toronto is hosting The Pan Am Games this summer. Individuals from around the globe will converge on the city to recognize athleticism and human achievement. This presents an opportunity to explore the beauty, physicality and resilience of the human figure as a form of expression and inspiration.

In the spirit of international co-operation, Propeller invites artists from Canada and abroad – particularly Pan Am countries – to submit works on paper that explore the human body at rest, or in motion. The work can be photo or digital based, drawing, painting or mixed media. All works must be unframed in order to minimize shipping costs.

Submissions will be limited to one work per artist and a catalogue of the selected work commemorating this event will be considered. Selected artists must arrange for shipment of the work prior to and following the exhibition, as well as cover all shipping related expenses.

Submission Requirements:

• Name, address, email, phone number
• Artist Statement and CV
• One image (2000 pixels on the longest edge @72dpi)
• Description of submitted image.
• Short narrative text to accompany work (maximum 500 words)
• You agree to allow us to use your submission material, without compensation, in a potential catalogue/publication of this exhibition
• Submission fee: $45 CDN *please note, submission fees are non-refundable*
