The Houston Arts Alliance and City of Houston Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department request artists to submit short film and video works for presentation on multiple 42” flat screen monitors throughout the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRBCC). The selected artworks will be purchased for the City of Houston’s civic art collection.

This call requests submissions for existing works of video art of up to 240 seconds duration to be purchased ($3,500 stipend) for the city’s George R. Brown Convention Center. A distinguished art selection panel will select up to thirty works that reflect the freshness and energy of this Houston downtown landmark that welcomes 1.5 million visitors annually.
